Amir asked us what we planned for the rest of our holiday, he seemed surprised when we said nothing at all. Amir this song is for you -

We're busy doing nothing, working the whole day through,
trying to find lots of things not to do,
We're busy going nowhere, isn't it such a crime?
we try to be unhappy, but we never do have the time.

Today we did nothing - relaxed, walked up to Taxi Stop for brunch. Checked our mail, borrowed a book for me and walked back stopping at Dao's for a coconut shake. We read or dozed all afternoon then had t'cold hose down and went out to find dinner at Porn, there is a Full Moon Party tonight.

As we approached Porn walking along the beach we could see a ring of fire stretched around the whole beach and bar area, bamboo stakes alight with kerosene, lit our way. All the tables have lamps softly glowing on them. The tree beside the bar sparkles with fairy lights and is festooned with balloons. The bar area is lit with ultra violet lights and coloured silk lanterns. A bonfire sits on the beach ready to be lit. Morcheeba's Big Calm is playing gently.

Huge glittering fireworks suddenly light up the sky, the atmosphere is electric! We order from the barbeque and find a table, and a Singapore Sling - our Rasta barman is a perfectionist, he takes time and care with every drink, as if they are all precious. The results are stunning every time, and prettily decorated with "boats" made with fresh pineapples, limes and cherries. We relax, enjoy our meal and several wonderful cocktails, I decide that we must try every one on the menu before we leave!

The bonfire is roaring, they let off random fireworks throughout the evening and there are 3 fire jugglers on the shore, whirling like Dervishes spinning rings of fire. They know how to create an atmosphere here, the music is good too Sting, B B King and Eric Clapton, U2, REM an utterly brilliant evening, we reluctantly left  to walk back along the shore listening to the waves.
