Our flight from Luton is due to leave at 9.40a.m. and is two and a half hours late due to fog! We finally board to be told that someone obviously had given up and their luggage had to be removed from the plane. When we finally took off the flight was fine and we landed safely if a little worried as I'd been told by the Stewardess that it was a new plane - only 10 days old! 

We found Hertz and got our car a Fiat Stilo and made tracks for Nerja. Simon's lovely girlfriend Lucy's parents own a villa there, and have very kindly lent it to us for 2 weeks! We arrive to torrential rain closely followed by a thunder storm, who says it never rains in the Costa del Sol? We find the villa, it's got 3 bedrooms, a study and an open plan kitchen cum living room. The main bedroom and living room have patio doors leading out to the terrace and garden, it's very pretty. We settle in then find a supermarket for food and wine. We eat pizza and salad inside as it's still raining. Consume plenty of wine listening to a Motown CD that is here. I cook a chilli con carne at Andrew's request for tomorrow, then we settled in bed for the night.
