Nick kindly took us to the airport at about 7pm. On arrival checked in and found a really good Sushi Bar for dinner. Our flight due to take off at 21.20pm was 58 minutes late leaving Heathrow, and was as all flights interminably boring. Can't wait to get there, this is our first back packing holiday. There will be none of the usual 5 star hotels and all comforts this time. It's back to basics!

We will go on a tour of Thailand and Cambodia with Gecko Travel. We meet Wi our tour guide and the other 4 people in Bangkok on Saturday. Gecko deal in small tours, 4 people is minimum and 8 is their maximum. I have never been on a holiday with strangers before (cruise was different as you can avoid the ones you don't want to be with) With Gecko travel we will be together all the time, apart from when we are in bed! I hope we all get on. When the tour finishes at Koh Chang, Andrew and I stay on for an extra 12 days then fly to Bangkok for 4 days, to be there for Thailand New Year Celebrations.
