March 28th 2002

Breakfast early, I'm becoming addicted to Dao's spectacular coconut shakes. Then off on another noisy smelly boat. We stop near Koh Khlum first, nowhere to land so you just leap out of the boat to snorkel. I wimped out as I couldn�t see how I�d climb back in again. Glenn and Andrew scraped their legs getting back in. 

Went on to Koh Wai where we moored at a pier and snorkelled before lunch, the sea is very warm and there are loads of lovely fish some of them are coloured  like a rainbow, pretty corals and purple, green and blue anemones. The beach is beautiful white sand with turquoise sea, reminiscent of the Grenadines. Wi brought lunch for us, but I abstain - there are no loo's here! We snorkelled till about 3pm then it was time to leave as it's 2 hours back to base. I can feel that I'm burning although I'm wearing factor 25 sunblock, Pete resembles a lobster too. The journey was interminable - for all of us.

Wi took us to check out another chalet as soon as we dock, it's much farther up the beach {about halfway to Porn which I see as a bonus} It is really nice, air con. a large bed, fridge, TV, and a lovely wet room with a hot shower. We agree to transfer here it's quiet and there are no dogs!

We met up for cocktails at sunset. Barbeque for dinner, can't eat much, Pete touches my arm and can't believe how hot I am. Head is starting to pound too. I really want to go out  as it's our lads last night. A taxi is booked to take us to Haad Sai Khao {white sands beach} where there is a Full Moon Party. I go to fetch my boots and discover 5 giant sized cockroaches in our room, freak out totally, I hate them worse than anything else I can think of! Andrew squashes 2 but the others go under our bed. Pete and Wi comes to see what's wrong. Wi talks to Dao, who promises to get them removed.

We board the taxi and hit the beach. Excellent Long Island Iced Tea - but I can't drink it, give up at 11pm and having hugged all the lads and Wi, we go back. Have promised a photo/video evening when we are all home. I spend a very bad night sitting on the bed, headache makes me sick if I try to lie down, can't lie on sunburn, have a horror of cockroaches running over me (but we didn't see them again,) and the dogs are fighting again. What a sad puppy!
